"Reimagining Pedagogy for the Connected Generation" 

Building Future-Ready Skills in a Rapidly Evolving Technological Landscape

The rapid evolution of digital technology presents an unparalleled opportunity to revolutionize education, however, considerations and attention to the learners, their holistic development, and how they develop the critical thinking and moral commitment to an equitable and resourceful society in a digital era is elusive.

 

In this context, the Rethinking Education Conference 2025, themed "Enabling Learning and Child Development in a Digital Era" aims to bring together educators, policymakers, technologists, and other stakeholders to explore how schools can conceptualise their education provision strategy to support diverse students acquire and develop the skills and confidence to thrive in a digital world.

The REC is our flagship education event that brings together academics, practitioners, school principals and teachers, students, parents, NGOs, and industry experts to deliberate on the future of education.

Objectives

The TC #REC 2025 aims to stimulate a collective understanding of the need for a Bold Vision for Education in Cameroon with a shift from compartmentalized Education to an integrated model that recognises the value of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts,  Mathematics, and Humanities (STEAM+ Education) for talent development, and lifelong learning.

We are building on the TC COHERENCE Initiative, where we seek to provide learners with educational experiences that include interdisciplinary approaches to solving “grand challenges” sciences, using data, artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital technologies. In line with this, the 6th TC REC#2025 will unfold under the following sub-themes.
