Call for Proposal for the TC Rethinking Education Conference (#TC-REC 2024)
Welcome!
In our pursuit of finding the best ways and approaches to education provision in the 21st century, we are pleased to extend this invitation for the 5th Edition of The Rethinking Education Conference – Transforming Education: Empowering Teachers and Leaders for Innovation which will take place in Yaoundé, from the 19-20th of July 2024.
During the conference we will be presenting findings from the EmpowerED Project, -“The Critical Role and Impact of Continuous Professional Development for Teachers and Leaders” a TC-funded research project on the implementation of the EmpowerED Index in Primary and Secondary Schools, based on interviews with teachers, students, parents, and school heads and principals.
A key discourse during the conference will anchor on how teachers and school leaders can be empowered to rethink and redesign how the provision of education can power the development of knowledge and skills for the 21st-century job market that is technologically driven.
We are now accepting proposals for the conference from researchers and practitioners in the following areas.
Stream 1: Inclusive Education and Sustainable Education
Stream 2: Effective Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century
Stream 3: Alternative Forms of Assessment
Stream 4: Innovations and Technologies in Education
Stream 5: School Leadership and Management
Stream 6: Youth Participation in Youth Development
Proposal Types
Paper
An academic submitted by an individual or a group on any of the sub-themes.
Each presentation is 25mins
Workshop
A practice-based work on any of the conference sub-themes.
Each workshop is 1:30 mins
Demos
A technology-based application on any of the conference themes designed to support teaching, learning, and assessment or the management of teaching and learning. You can also choose to send your abstract or proposals to research@teachconnect.org

Delegate registrations are considered confirmed upon receipt of payment. Registrants will receive a confirmation email upon successful completion of the registration process.

Substitution Policy: Substitute delegates may be named at any time without penalty. Please notify the conference organizers of any such changes.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing up to 7 working days before the event will be eligible for a full refund, less an administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the specified deadline.

Force Majeure: If the conference is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, registrants will have the option of a full refund or credit towards a future event.

Event Access: Only registered delegates will be granted access to the conference sessions, workshops, and associated activities. Conference badges must be worn at all times during the conference.

Media Release: By attending the conference, delegates grant permission for the use of any photographs, videos, or audio recordings taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes.

Liability: The conference organizers accept no liability for personal injuries, loss, or damage to personal property incurred during the event.

Code of Conduct: Delegates are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully, adhering to the conference's code of conduct.

Program Changes: The conference organizers reserve the right to make changes to the conference program, including session topics, speakers, and event schedule, as deemed necessary.

Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Teach Connect and the National Center for Research in Education and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Cameroon.
