COHERENCE
Discovery and Engineering
As Artificial Intelligence continues to evolve, knowledge economies will be transformed by these quick evolutions at a speed we would struggle to understand. How we empower students to use their curiosity and energy would require carefully designed curricular paths with questions that are structured to inspire critical thinking, creative thinking, reflection, and learning that serve the individual to optimise their God-given talent.
With COHERENCE, we seek to employ all the interventions from the Let's Dr@W and Write Challenge to encourage students to think proactively with the data, digital technologies, and AI to engineer sustainable solutions to daily problems.

Our Story
COHERENCE originates from the Let's Dr@W, Write and Talk Challenge (LDWT) and has progressively developed in an interdisciplinary programme merging discovery and engineering.
2010 Student-centred education (LDWT)
2014 Excel approach to education
2017 TC Young Professional Challenge (LDCS)
2021 Students' voice and scenario-based learning (TCYPC)
2024 COHERENCE- building on students' experiences to solve problems using data and genAI
Our mission with COHERENCE is to establish an educational progarmme with a unique experience and pathways that build learners’ confidence and competencies for self-determined and scenario-based learning in a digital age
Objectives
-
Champion the use of data, AI, and Technology in learning/schools through interdisciplinarity
-
Design diverse learning pathways with curriculum bundles that are problem-based
-
Create toolkits and learning guides
-
Prolong engagement with schools and children to support the value and impact of coherent learning endeavours
The Bootcamp-2025
During the summer holidays (June-August 2025), we will run 4 workshops alongside other educational activities as a Holiday programme (learning Studioz). These sessions will cover the fundamentals of problem-based, project-based learning and innovation design. These events will be labeled under 4 strands;
Workshop strand 1: Critical Thinking, Creativity and Problem-solving
The focus will be on how information can be used with specific tools to solve problems, and how to work with evidence and metacognition for better output
Workshops strand 2: Information and data
The focus will be on the foundations of data, big data, computational thinking, and how data is collected and used for problem-solving or projects in the innovation
Workshops strand 3: Internet of Things and Digital Technologies Workshops
The focus will be on the basics of IoT, technologies, and ICTS with references to Data and AI.
Workshops strand 4: Artificial intelligence, and Robotics
The focus will be on how humans, machines, and algorithms can interact in different imagined scenarios, especially as a solution to a complex problem
Our Research
An exploratory interdisciplinary project focusing on how children engage with discovery, engineering, and collaboration, using digital technologies, data, and Artificial Intelligence to imagine potential solutions to social challenges.
