 About the Conference

7th Rethinking Education Conference:

From Pedagogic Innovations to Impact

Over the past decade, education systems across the world—particularly in African and emerging contexts—have experienced an unprecedented wave of pedagogic innovation. Competency-based learning, digital platforms, learner-centered pedagogies, leadership development, and alternative assessment models have moved from the margins into mainstream discourse. Yet despite this progress, a persistent gap remains between innovation and impact.

Many reforms operate in isolation, pedagogic practices evolve faster than curriculum frameworks. Digital tools outpace teacher preparation. Assessment systems lag learning goals. Policy intentions rarely align with classroom realities.

The result is fragmentation—where promising innovations fail to scale, sustain, or meaningfully improve human development outcomes.

The Rethinking Education Conference 2026 responds directly to this challenge. Building on a decade-long inquiry into pedagogy, digital learning, leadership, and child development, the conference shifts the focus from what is new to what holds together.
